Have you seen, Surrealism in Greece: An Anthology, trans. Nikos Stabakis (UT Press, 2008)? I haven't seen it yet, but will report once I find a library copy.KOSTIS KOURELIShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10337635437028881328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5956429031708456535.post-56440624531248794422009-01-25T17:15:00.000+02:002009-01-25T17:15:00.000+02:00A fantastic post and project. While at the Archaeological Institute of America annual meetings, I saw an interesting upcoming book, Cathy Gere, Knossos and the Prophets of Modernism (University of Chicago Press). When I looked on Amazon, it wasn't available yet. Another favorite on the Minoans (perhaps connected to Cycladic art), John Papadopoulos “Inventing the Minoans: Archaeology, Modernity and the Quest for European Identity,” Journal of Mediterranean Archaeology 18 (2005), pp. 87-149, and also Donald Preziosi's discussion in the Oxford History of Art series. I know, this is a little tangential, but a blogger friend also sent me an interesting article on the history of psychoanalysis in Greece (connections to Breton, Surrealism, etc), Peter Hartocollis, “Letter from Greece,” Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association 48 (2000), pp. 675-679. Dimitri, I'll send some of these as PDF attachments. I am loving your blog!!! KOSTIS KOURELISKOSTIS KOURELIShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10337635437028881328noreply@blogger.com
